You sign in to your Instagram account inside the app, and it shows who unfollowed you, who doesn't follow back, ghost followers, story viewers and your top likers. It has ads and in-app subscriptions. It rates 4.1 on the US App Store from about 24,000 ratings, and 3.1 on Google Play from about 157,000. ## Is FollowMeter safe? FollowMeter says you "sign in securely" and that it never posts, likes or comments for you. It doesn't say how it reads your account, and that's where the complaints are. Since 2024, people on Reddit and in App Store reviews have reported Instagram locking or restricting their account after they connected FollowMeter. We can't say what caused each case, and FollowMeter hasn't said either. The difference here is the sign-in. An app you log in to reads Instagram as you. We don't sign in as anyone: you type a public username, and we read the public lists through a data provider that collects public profile data. No Instagram password, no login, nothing to disconnect later. ## Is FollowMeter still free? Not really, going by its reviews. The stores still list it as free with in-app purchases, but since around May 2026 reviewers say the unfollower and doesn't-follow-back lists sit behind its paid plan. Of its 250 newest US App Store reviews, 197 give it one star, and the paywall is the most common reason after loading problems. Here, your first check is free and shows real accounts from your lists. The usual reports are a scan stuck loading for a long time, an error saying the account is too large, or the app asking you to sign in again and again. Version 7.0, in July 2026, said it fixed the sign-in loop. Reviews since then still mention slow scans and big accounts that won't load. ## Is there a FollowMeter web version? No. followmeter.com is a page with App Store and Google Play buttons. There's nothing to sign in to or scan there. There's no app to install. ## Who unfollowed: what each one shows FollowMeter compares your followers list each time the app refreshes, so it can only show unfollows from after your first scan. Some reviewers say it lists people as unfollowers who still follow them. Timing works the same way here: tracking starts the day Premium starts, and nobody can show unfollows from before that. Someone only counts as gone once we've confirmed it on a later check, and then [we email you the name](https://unfollowertrack.com/). ## What FollowMeter does that we don't Because it signs in as you, FollowMeter can show things only your own account sees: who watches your stories, who likes and comments most, ghost followers. In your phone's subscription settings, not in the app. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play, Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the plan. Refunds go through Apple or Google; FollowMeter doesn't publish a refund policy of its own. ### I got locked out of Instagram after using FollowMeter. What now? Use Instagram's own recovery steps to get back in. Then change your password, turn on two-factor authentication, and log out of any sessions you don't recognise in Accounts Center. ### Is FollowMeter free? Free to download. Since around mid-2026, reviewers say the unfollower lists need its paid plan. Our first check is free, and tracking is Premium. ### Does FollowMeter show who viewed your profile? No, and FollowMeter says so itself. Instagram doesn't share who views a profile with any app. We can't show that either. ### Can FollowMeter show who blocked you? It says it can track who blocked your account. Instagram sends no notice when someone blocks you, though, so an app can only guess, and several reviewers say the feature doesn't work for them.
